About Us

House of Bibique is founded by Jacqueline Yeap.
She believes fine jewellery captures life’s most meaningful moments. Each piece tells a story,
signals belonging, and carries those memories quietly through generations.

Here you will find fine Peranakan jewellery, treasured keepsakes from another time, and carefully selected diamonds. Jacqueline also works closely with clients to source exceptional stones and create engagement rings that will one day become the heirlooms of the next generation.

Hi! I’m Jacqueline Yeap.

I’m a jeweler trained by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and for as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated by gemstones, craftsmanship, and the stories that jewellery carries with it.

Over the years I’ve worked with certified diamonds, engagement rings, and collectors searching for pieces that hold both beauty and lasting value. I’ve also had the privilege of representing buyers in specialised auction markets for fine jewellery and rare stones.

What I enjoy most about this work is helping people mark meaningful moments in their lives — whether that’s finding a remarkable stone, creating an engagement ring, or discovering a piece that feels like it was always meant to be theirs.

At House of Bibique, I bring together my love for heritage, fine craftsmanship, and gemological experience to curate jewellery that will one day become part of someone else’s story.

Heritage

Growing up between Singapore and Penang, Jacqueline was surrounded by the rich textures of Peranakan life — her grandmother’s fragrant kitchens where rempah simmered slowly, heirlooms carefully kept within the home, and traditions that once shaped everyday life, even as many have gently faded with time.

From hand-painted kamcheng porcelain jars to lace kebayas edged with intricate embroidery and ceremonial layers of gold jewellery worn during celebrations, beauty revealed itself through craftsmanship and symbolism. Rose-cut intandiamonds, kerosang brooches fastening a kebaya, and delicate beadwork worn with quiet pride were never simply decorative — they marked traditions, identity, and family history.

Jacqueline is also the great-granddaughter of Yeap Chor Ee, the “Grand Old Man of Penang” — a visionary and philanthropist whose remarkable life remains a source of admiration and inspiration to her. In her own way, House of Bibique honours that heritage by preserving beautiful pieces from the past while helping create heirlooms for generations still to come.
